Packaging Distribution System
Packaging distribution system design is determined by many factors including
- The type and size of product; it’s fragility and propensity to absorb moisture
- The type of seasoning applied and the products ability to absorb coatings applied
- Requirements to store product during packaging cleaning and seasoning change-overs
- Anti-contamination priorities
- The frequency of seasoning changes
- Future expansion and flexibility as market requirements change
- Factory size and shape
- The level of redundancy necessary. This is generally dictated by the time required to stop a process line
Our fully trained sales engineering team are happy to discuss with you your specific requirements so that all solutions we may propose fulfil your needs. Once we have visited to your site and discussed your requirements we will compile a concept drawing for approval before specifications and a detailed quotation are prepared for you.
Our systems include a combination of horizontal motion conveyors, belt conveyors, vibratory conveyors or for bagged product, air conveyors.
All of our systems are designed to offer minimal seasoning build-up and maximum in-conveyor storage with our patented Flo-store conveyors (required when packaging is temporarily not able to keep up with process output). Our systems vary from a single packaging station to a system of 30 or more stations with or without on-machine-seasoning.
We have the capacity within our manufacturing facility to pre-build complete systems inclusive of all electrical, pneumatic and nitrogen services, this provides you the opportunity to inspect and see the system run before we dispatch goods to site. It also reduces costs as the cost of perfecting equipment interfaces and control code is lower in our shop than at any job site.
Our modular design concept allows each packaging station to be loaded onto a trailer or shipping container as a complete assembly, fully self contained. Once trailers or containers are on-site the modules are quickly re-assembled without surprises; the concept is often described as “plug-and-play” packaging modules.
We realise that every customer is different and for smaller businesses often the over-riding concern is on simplicity, ease of use and dependability.
While retaining these requirements, our larger customers have additional criteria such as providing flexibility with higher volume throughputs, as well as keeping time lost during set-up and seasoning change-overs to a minimum. This customer group often measure and optimise line efficiencies, this requires attention to detail in equipment and software design.
Wright are apply our considerable system solutions experience to both initial concept development, layout optimisation, equipment specification and design and finally to the manufacture, pre-build and field work necessary to provide good food process and packaging lines.
