Custom Unit Conveyors

Wright have a comprehensive range of equipment for a variety of foods from dry free flowing powders to sticky products in both “Low care” and “High Care” applications.

Flowright vibratory conveyors

Flowright vibratory conveyors are natural frequency electromagnetically driven with frequencies between 15Hz and 25Hz. The conveyor technology uses patented energy absorbers where efficiency and residual vibration are minimised.

They have the ability to run continuously or on demand without the problems associated with mechanically driven devices. There are no wearing parts, the power consumption is minimal and above all they are quiet while remaining exceptionally powerful. These conveyors can be used within process systems or for packaging applications. All models are driven via programmable controllers allowing easy adjustment of frequency and amplitude. With our focused approach the cost of ownership is negligible.

Typical applications:

Feeding

To multihead weighers or packaging systems.

Modular sticky food feeding Flowright providing lump breaking grid, 60 degree access to weigher, bulk hopper and accurate feed.

Fully enclosed powder and granule feeding Flowright of slim profile to fit within modular system.

Grading

Within process to ensure food within given parameters.

High throughput Flowright to separate lumps, fines and good food.

Dewatering

Dewatering Flowright to transport cooked foods following quenching Flostore Conveyors use energy absorbers and are natural frequency electro magnetically driven at 25Hz.

They have the ability to run continuously or with variable amplitude enabling a variable bed depth of product to be achieved. The conveyor trays are oversized and consequently have a significantly increased food carrying capacity allowing storage when running slowly.

Weighwright Conveyors

Weighwright Conveyors are patented and replace the traditional weighbelt or impact plate. Using design resources the machine has no moving parts, techonmeters, rollers or belts to clean, maintain or repair.

The accuracy of a Weighwright conveyor is better than +/- 1% of the product being transferred and with a tare time of less than a minute and a calibration time less than three minutes, Weighwright conveyors should be a key component to assess product throughput for any line.

Scarf Edge Feeders

Scarf Edge Feeders are electromagnetically driven, all stainless steel in construction and with an IP65 specification. They are normally used for feeding powders at a constant rate equally along the depositing edge which can be up to 1500mm long. The controlled rate of feed and equal volume make them suitable for spreading sugars, seasonings, flour, starch uniformly to food during the manufacturing process.

Loss in Weight Feeder

Loss in Weight Feeder are electromagnetically driven natural frequency conveyors mounted on a LIW platform. They are used for delivering food or ingredients at a constant rate and with feedback control provide a very accurate method of dosing.

Coating Drums

Coating Drums are used with scarf feeders, LIW feeders and oil, slurry, glucose or sugar application systems. All drums are manufactured fully in stainless steel and are mobile, variable speed, variable angle coming with infeed and discharge covers when appropriate. All adjustments can be automated when used in conjunction with a recipe driven control system avoiding operator error.

Horizontal Motion Conveyors

Horizontal Motion Conveyors reduce dust in cereal and powder applications while maintaining product quality following coating or flavouring when foods are transported long distances.  The product tray is specially designed tray and the conveyor motion provides a self scouring action should any products stick. The food is moved gently and consistently within the tray and no product segregation can occur.

HMC’s can be up to 50 metres in length and are bi-directional for food applications.

Travelling Storage Conveyors

Travelling Storage Conveyors are used between process and packaging and can vary in size from 2m3 to 200m3 and manufactured up to a full stainless steel IP65 specification. The stores provide a buffer allowing significant flexibility within packaging operations. Many stores are fully sealed to avoid airborne dust and if used with coated foods would include clean in place. Stores provide a “first in, first out” discharge and can be fed by either Vibratory conveyors or HMC’s.

Flighted Belt Elevators

Flighted Belt Elevators

Flighted Belt Elevators have modular belts with fixed or moving sidewalls and provide a hygienic means of lifting product generally from low level process discharge to a high level packing system. Angles of incline vary from 45 degrees to 85 degrees with either vertical or hooked flights.

Discharge’s can be horizontal or droop nosed to assist product control and avoid breakage by allowing the food to slide down the preceding flight. These machines have in many cases replaced bucket elevators. Clean in place and dry in place systems can be included. All FBE’s are manufactured in stainless steel to IP65 standards.

Belt Conveyors

Belt Conveyors operate from horizontal to inclines of 75 degrees with PU belts. Conveyor frames are stainless steel and can have bedplates or “cow horns” depending upon application. When used to elevate steep angles a flexible side wall is used to contain the products.

Troughed belts can be employed when side guides and side walls are inappropriate for the application or food handled. If flat belts are used scrapers and quick release belt tensioning devices are included as standard.
